Our learning across the school
Year 2 have been learning about algorithms. Firstly, we wrote out our own algorithms to follow a track. Then we used positional language such as left, right, forwards, backwards, quarter and full turn. We then used masking tape to plot the route for our Beebots to follow and programmed them to follow our own algorithms. Some of the children said, ‘it was really fun to programme the Beebots’. Nathan said, ‘we used lots of maths language to explain how to direct them’.
