Owls and Squirrels were shocked this week to find that a wardrobe had appeared in our classroom! We then discovered an amazing piece of writing all about a girl called Lucy who finds a wardrobe. We pretended to be Lucy, creeping through the doors, and found a magical forest full of trees and toadstools! It was amazing!
Owls and Squirrels have been so inspired by Lucy's adventure that they have written fantastic pieces of writing using all of their sounds! Owls and Squirrels have been thinking about all the places Lucy could have gone when she went through the wardrobe. We also came up with a great list of adjectives to describe the wardrobe and have used them in our shared writing.
We have been building wardrobes and using drama to imagine how Lucy felt. Inspired by our forest trees, we have been looking at Gustav Klimt's 'Tree of Life'. We have been using collage materials to make our own version of the painting. Mrs Gardner, Miss Scoggins, Mrs Mutchell and Mrs Collick are very proud of how hard everyone has been working this week. Well done Owls and Squirrels!
