Year 4's English lesson today was taught by Blue Peter's Barney Harwood and BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty! We took part in the BBC 500 Words Live Lesson, which was a live English lesson streamed online. We got storywriting tips from Malorie Blackman and Frank Cottrell Boyce. They taught us about the importance of character, setting and plot development when storywriting.
We emailed in a question beforehand and were very excited to see it appear live in front of us on television and answered by both Malorie and Frank! We felt famous!
Some of us are now feeling inspired to take part in the 500 words storywriting competition! The deadline for this is 23rd February so get writing at home and during early work, and submit your stories to Miss Scott before half term!
