Each week class teachers award the Aspire trophy out to a student who has gone the extra mile with their learning and behaviour. They will be invited to celebrate this achievement with Miss Lovelock at an afternoon tea. Our Aspire winners for this week are pictured below. Well done to you all.
This half term the ROOT GLPS are focusing on is 'overcoming challenges'. Each week the class teacher will select a student who has demonstrated this ROOT, and will have their name on a Golden Leaf in the entrance hall. Well done to you all.
Owls: Keira M for giving every activity a try and for settling well into Foundation.
Squirrels: Godson for challenging his attitude to learning this week.
Attenborough: Taran for overcoming challenges to complete all of his work.
Potter: Billy for always trying really hard with his learning.
Anning: Lilly for improving so much that she is moving to Year 2 from Acorns for 4 days a week.
Peake: Honey for overcoming challenges in maths.
Farah: Finnley for doing so well with his touch-typing and maths.
Rutherford: Tia for learning independently and pushing herself to complete as much work as she can.
Homes: Poppy for overcoming challenges in writing.
Grey-Thompson: Humayrah for an excellent improvement in her spellings.
Rowling: Daniel for trying really hard with his writing.
Shakespeare: Aaralyn (from Mr Rowlands' maths group) for overcoming challenges in maths, and Isaac for his positive attitude towards the maths assessments.
The whole school attendance from last week was 96.3% which means we are just below our attendance target of 97%. The attendance since the beginning of the school year is also 96.3%.
