Each week class teachers award the Aspire trophy out to a student who has gone the extra mile with their learning and behaviour. They will be invited to celebrate this achievement with Miss Lovelock at an afternoon tea. Our Aspire winners for this week are pictured below. Well done to you all!
Golden Leaf Winners
This half term the ROOT GLPS are focusing on is 'taking care'. Each week the class teacher will select a student who has demonstrated this ROOT, and will have their name on a Golden Leaf in the entrance hall. Well done to you all.
Owls Class: CJ for helping others with their early work.
Squirrels Class: Liam for always tidying and taking care of others.
Attenborough Class: Serine for taking care of other people's beans to ensure they grow healthily.
Potter Class: Peyton for always tidying and respecting the classroom without being asked.
Anning Class: Sophie for helping children with their learning. Olivia for taking care of her handwriting.
Peake Class: Jamie for helping other children in computing. Scarlett for taking care of others and helping them in maths.
Rutherford Class: Jessica for taking care of Miss Dean.
Redgrave Class: Phoebe and Daniella for taking care of themselves and for focusing on their learning.
Holmes Class: Farah for taking care over her presentation.
Rowling Class: Preston for taking care of his presentation and using feedback to improve his work. Alex for taking such good care of his writing that he feels proud when he shows it to teachers around the school.
Grey-Thompson Class: Sarthak for taking care in his learning and always striving to achieve higher, even when he has achieved the highest scores. Tayla for taking care with her home learning and creating an original design.
Turing Class: Joshua for taking care of every piece of work he completes.
Shakespeare Class: Aisar for taking care through difficult times.
Overall, school attendance last week increased to 96.9%. Overall attendance this year is 96.0% including EYFS and 96.2% excluding EYFS. Our target attendance is 97%
