Great Linford has been taking part in Water Safety Day! Due to the high levels of water risks in our local area we have started to dedicate a whole day annually to learning about water safety. The classes each had a theme that was linked to our Art and Design curriculum and created some amazing work focusing on canal and water safety. During the day, the children were taught about vital safety rules and routines to keep to around water. As well as, what to do in times of crisis around water! It has been a fantastic day and I am sure the children are looking forward to next year already.
Upper Key Stage Two have been taking part in a careers afternoon led by the NHS. The children started the afternoon with a talk about the brilliant variety of careers on offer to them in the NHS. We had the opportunity to look at some amazing equipment and ask lots of questions about routs into careers within the NHS. After that, the children had an opportunity to start creating some art work which will be collected next week and entered into a local competition.
