AspireEach week class teachers award the Aspire trophy out to a student who has gone the extra mile with their learning and behaviour. They will be invited to celebrate this achievement with Miss Lovelock at an afternoon tea. Our Aspire winners for this week are pictured below. Well done to you all. Owls and Squirrels class will have their Aspire assembly on Monday 5th December. Golden LeavesThis half term the ROOT GLPS are focusing on is 'overcoming challenges'. Each week the class teacher will select a student who has demonstrated this ROOT, and will have their name on a Golden Leaf in the entrance hall. Well done to you all. Owls and Squirrels will have their Golden Leaf assembly on Monday 5th December. Attenborough: Taran for trying really hard to finish all of his work. Potter: Logan for settling into Year 1 so well. Anning: Duarte as although he doesn't speak English he has made many friends throughout the school. Peake: Lucas for overcoming challenges in maths. Farah: Kenny for overcoming his own distractions to focus on making the right choices. Rutherford: Anointed for overcoming distractions to become really focused on his work. Homes: Farah for overcoming challenges in reading. Redgrave: Abdul for overcoming challenges in his swimming lessons. Grey-Thompson: Gabriella for improving her reading comprehension. Rowling: Cassidy for responding to feedback in her reading assessment and bettering her score. Shakespeare: Chloe for overcoming challenges in her guided reading sessions leading to amazing reading progress. Turing: Callum for overcoming challenges in his reading. AttendanceThe whole school attendance from last week decreased to 95.3% which means we are still below our attendance target of 97%. The attendance since the beginning of the school year is 96.2%.
