Year 5 have had a super time during Forest Fortnight learning about The Rocky Mountains. We have been writing an advert to persuade people to come on our mountain trail using lots of persuasive techniques we have been taught. We then moved on to conduct research on The Rockies to create a non-chronological report. Bringing this all together, in our art sessions, we have been learning about pointillism; a painting technique in which small, distinct dots of colour are applied in patterns to form an image. This has helped us to recreate Jim Prescott’s ‘Winter Sanctuary’. Join us here at school as we put our brilliant work on show at The Forest Fortnight Exhibition on Friday 5th May 2017.
