Today we investigated part-whole models and looked at different ways we could represent different number sentences. We worked in pairs to pick the objects to use before turning our part-whole models into number sentences using the terminology ‘addend’ and ‘total’. Why not have a go at making your own part-whole models? How many ways could you make 10? What about 20? What patterns do you notice?
