We have had an excellent day in Year 3 celebrating Black History Day by learning about the exciting life of Princess Sophia Duleep Singh. This fascinating princess became a renowned Suffragette and supported the movement and protests to achieve 'Votes for Women'.
In Year 3, we learnt all about her life and completed spider diagrams to show everything we had learnt. We then made some 'Votes for Women' bunting by using the Suffragette colours of purple, green and white. We then added more detail to our bunting by drawing the other half of Princess Sophia's face.
