We have had so much fun with our science this week for our science week!
We started off our week by having an excellent whole school assembly which helped us to see how life processes have changed over million of years. We found it a bit funny that we are compared to apes and asked lots of good questions about adaptation.
As our science learning this half term is all about plants, we then started the week by learning all about what bees do. We looked at the different parts of the plants (which we had learnt last week) and learnt all about pollination and how important bees are. We then acted this out with our own bee, stigma and stamen headdresses! We practised travelling from flower to flower collecting pollen on our legs and then carrying it to a new plat and we loved it!
We then finished the day by having our workshop where we learnt about the 7 life processes and got to produce a freeze frame to show what these looked like.
Later in the week, we set up an experiment to test whether plants would grow in a dark cupboard. We discussed variables and predicted what we thought would happen. Over the next week we will keep a diary of the plant growth to see what we can see.
What a great week!
