As part of British Science Week, we were learning about plants and the importance of bees for pollination. First, we dissected daffodils so that we could see all of the different parts. Then, we learnt about bees and the important role they play in pollinating these plants. We wore antennas and role-played the job that bees carry out, carrying pollen pom-poms from one flower to another. We did all of this, of course, while listening to 'The Flight of the Bumblebees' by the composer Rimsky-Korsakov.
