Year 4 have been learning about the human body in Science and this lesson focussed on the skeleton. We have learnt that the skeleton plays a vital role in holding us upright, enabling us to move and most importantly it helps protect our vital organs. We were tasked with designing and building a skeletal-like structure that would protect our vital organs (in this case, a Tunnocks teacake). It was a great way of helping us learn just how important the skeleton is and we had lots of fun building and testing the structures.
