During Science Week, Year 6 were lucky to have a visit from an engineer who works for Primary Engineers. The children were tasked with designing an electrically powered vehicle that will be able to move in a straight line forwards and in reverse.
The children loved the opportunity to use woodwork skills in order to create a car chassis and set of axles. Their problem solving skills were challenged when they were told they could not glue the four main pieces of wood to create the chassis but were amazed to discover that some well placed triangular pieces of card were enough to create a sturdy base!
They are now eagerly anticipating finishing their creations.
