Project at Great Linford Primary School
At GLPS our children undertake a different project each half term. These projects are usually driven by History or Geography. Within our projects and in history children will develop skills to become historians by looking at different kinds of evidence and artefacts from the past. They will explore significant historical people and investigate different historical themes and events. In geography children will develop skills such as map reading, interpreting atlases, globes and photographs as well as undertaking field work such as investigating rivers or looking at our local area. Children will understand what human and physical features are and use this knowledge to investigate different biomes of the world and compare countries in Europe, North America and South America. They will also look at a variety of climates and features of the world such a volcanoes. In addition our children will take part in whole school projects such as Black History Day, Forest Fortnight and Roots week. The children at GLPS take great pride in their work. Instead of talking about it, take a look for yourself
