At Great Linford Primary School, we believe donating to the causes we care about not only benefits the charities themselves but is deeply rewarding for us too. We try and give back to our community in many different ways. So far this year we have supported a number of charities. Below are some of the things we have done.
SAVE THE CHILDREN - CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY 2018
Happy new year! Our Christmas jumper day raised a phenomenal £143.82. A huge thank you to all who helped towards this.

MK FOOD BANK
The MK Food Bank relies entirely on donations from schools like ours as every single item makes a difference. We have given both food and our time at the Food Bank for many years now as we believe it is important to give to those who go without. Thank you to all families for their donations for this years Food Bank Appeal. The event has become an annual tradition here and our House Captains really enjoy sorting and packing the donations ready for delivery.

CHILDREN IN NEED 2018
This year, we had a non-uniform day and raised an amazing £502 for Children in Need. The children enjoyed buying various Children in Need related bracelets and Pudsey ears to wear and thought it was brilliant they were able to come to school in their pyjamas (not the ones they were wearing the previous night though!).
POPPY APPEAL
Through the sale of poppies during school times, we managed to raise a fantastic £157.20. Well done to all children who took time out of their break and lunchtime to sell them on the playground.
INSPIRED THROUGH SPORT
Athletes work and train hard but believe it or not they do not make money from their sport in the same way as others that compete in professional sports such as football. They rely heavily on funding and sponsorship to help them on their journey to success. Accomplished athletes will often be sponsored by
large companies but many are only funded by family and charities. That's why we decided to get involved. As a school we raised a whopping £1865 through collecting sponsorship money. We set ourselves sport related personal challenges to do along the way. Well done Great Linford Primary School.
